Voluntary Carbon Offset (Conference Travel)

Energy use and the resulting climate impact is an issue that requires action from individual, businesses and government. The Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations, in conjunction with HDR Engineers, will purchase offsets from the Chicago Climate Exchange to make the conference electrical usage and travel carbon-neutral. Travel emissions to The Sagamore can be offset by simply checking the “Voluntary Carbon Offset (Conference Travel)” option when you register.

Significant Others

It is no fun sitting in a hotel room! For the above fee, your guest is welcome to join you throughout the conference for the daily continental breakfast, break and lunch listed in the program, Sunday evening Welcome Reception and Tuesday evening Cocktail Reception. Due to limited availability of the Tuesday afternoon activities, your guest must indicate on the Conference Registration Form, along with payment, to participate.

Payment Policy

Payment via cash, check or credit card is acceptable. A purchase order or claim voucher is acceptable if submitted two weeks prior to the conference. Receipts are available upon request to the Registration Coordinator.

Payment of Conference Registration Fee prior to the conference is registrant's responsibility. If payment is not received prior to the conference, cash, check or credit card payment will be required at time of check-in.

Registration Desk

The Registration Desk is located in the Conference Center lobby. It opens on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. The Registration Coordinator, Exhibitor & Sponsor Coordinator and volunteers staff the desk to answer questions or help with a special need. Also, located in the same area is a table with various handouts.

Name Badge Policy

Upon check-in at the Registration Desk, you will receive your name badge which must be visible at all times during the Conference. The name badge lets others get to know you and is our way of knowing that you are a "paid-up" Conference Attendee (Anyone without a name badge will be asked to pay the non-member registration fee). Located inside your name badge are coupons for special events.
